Honiton 727 Club

This is a welcoming space for individuals with learning disabilities to gather every Monday. Members socialise, make friends, and are involved in fun activities like karaoke, bowling and pantomimes. This inclusive environment fosters connections and support, making it a valued part of the local community.

Children in need

Children in Need supports local and national charities focused on improving young lives across the UK. By providing funding, they empower organisations to address challenges faced by vulnerable children and teens. Through fundraising and community involvement, they inspire efforts to help those in need.

Wesleys launchpad

Wesleys is a community café that serves delightful cakes and food whilst also empowering individuals with learning disabilities by upskilling them to work in the hospitality industry. 

Heathfield farm

Run by Launchpad, Heathfield Farm offers meaningful day activities for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. Their activities include growing vegetables, basic woodworking, site maintenance, arts, crafts, and cookery. They create a supportive environment that fosters skill development and personal growth, meaning every participant feels valued.

Devon link-up

Devon Link-up is a charity dedicated to empowering individuals with learning disabilities through advocacy and support. They provide resources that promote self independence. Ben, a board member and plays a key role in ensuring the voices of those they assist are valued. Together, they aim to  create a thriving community for everyone.

Exeter excel

Excel is a charity located in Exeter that is devoted to improving the lives of adults with learning disabilities. They conduct regular discos as well as other activities whilst fundraising through raffles and prizes. A great place to make new friends and meet like minded people.

DSI

Down Syndrome International is a global charity that connects organisations supporting individuals with Down syndrome. They enhance quality of life by sharing resources and advocacy. A notable initiative is World Down Syndrome Day, where wearing odd socks promotes awareness and acceptance. Through community support, they empower individuals and make positive impact worldwide.

The Silver Otter Cafe

The Silver Otter in Ottery is run by Able to Achieve, a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities. This welcoming venue offers hands-on training in the hospitality industry, empowering individuals with valuable skills and boosting their confidence. The Donkey Sanctuary

The Donkey Sanctuary is a charity dedicated to caring for donkeys. Visitors, including individuals with Down syndrome, can enjoy riding and bonding with the donkeys. The café provides a space for volunteers to express their passion for these animals. The sanctuary guarantees that every donkey receives the care they need.

Infocus

InFocus is a charity that runs shops selling clothes, DVDs, and more. Many individuals find fulfillment in volunteering there, gaining valuable experience while supporting a meaningful cause and fostering camaraderie amongst new friends.

RSPCA

RSPCA is committed to the welfare of all animals, including dogs and cats. They connect compassionate individuals to help animals in need, addressing cruelty and finding homes for unwanted pets. Their dedication ensures that every animal receives the care they deserve.

Northbrook community trust

The Northbrook Trust provides grants for children's charities in Devon. It focuses on education and development for those in need, especially those in the care Devon County Council. Most funds support organisations offering education and training.
